News for June, 2009!
We are currently getting ready for Historicon and ordering stock as we type. We have had many, many orders for Liberation figures and are working with the manufacturer to get order requests processed as fast as we can.
Many of you have placed orders with us and found that neither of us received a detailed invoice listing your request. I believe the problem has been solved. ****IMPORTANT**** After making payment, please do not exit out of PayPal but wait for the redirect back to our shopping cart. Without this redirect, the order will not be completed and we will not receive an invoice detailing your request. We will receive payment but will not know your mailing addres or the items that you have ordered. However, we will make every effort to solve the problem if you forget.
News for March 2009!
Well what happened to February, LOL Time flies when your having fun and this last month was no exception. Laura and I have been very busy doing end of the year inventory, attended one show, and we are getting ready for Recruits, a local wargaming convention in Kansas City that Laura and I run. Recruits is a growing show with an attendance near 450. The month or two prior to Recruits is the busiest for us as we try to line up game masters, vendors, and tee-shirts etc.. So we have fallen behind answering emails as well as getting some new releases listed on the web page. Sorry for the delay.
New items: This last month we have received all of the Elhiem new releases including the Panzer Lehr, US WInter GIs and more Pulp Fiction figures. We are also working on the new codes and prices for ERM Platoon 20 including some re-released Vietnam codes. Last week we also got in a restock order from Liberation and are working now pulling back orders for customers first. Then we will add new releases from Liberation to the shopping cart. Speaking of Liberation, we have been reorganizing the way Liberation is listed on our web page and have been adding some codes which we were missing to the shopping cart. Let us know what you think and if you can't find something. : )
We were sorry we missed Little Wars. There are a few more shows we are looking into attending in the near future including Recruits, Barrack's Battle, Nashcon, Bayou Wars, and Historicon. We may not make all of these shows but we are at least looking into them. If there is a show you would like to see us attend, especially during the summer, please let us know.

News for January2009!
Happy New Years Everyone!!!! Just a couple quick updates with more later in the month as I get a chance to think clearer after the holidays. : ) First off we have taken a small break the last week or so for the holidays. I apologize for not stating that sooner but I am busily working on taking care of your orders and requests. Secondly we have improved over technology status with a new computer. Most of my work transferring files is complete but we are still working on trying to get our emails sorted. Once this is completed we have also purchased some new business software that will require some effort getting all of our inventory transferred. I think this will be very helpful in the long run but will take some time. We might even change servers in the future that will not impact our shopping cart beyond making everything work much smother! yea! Anyway, Happy New Years once again.
One final very important note. We are having problems of emails we send boucing back to us. The message we are receiving says, "Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation problems. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your E-mail/Internet Service Provider for help." Mid way through November and we have been busy! We have once again lowered prices starting with the Outpost Wargame Services 15mm ranges. And now we also have in stock from Outpost their Christian Crusaders, Hindu/Tamil Warriors, Franks, Pics and Late period Romans. We hope to complete our inventory of the remaining 15mm Outpost lines sometime over the next few months. If interested in these unlisted lines please let us know and we will gladly special order them for you.
To celebrate Golgo Island's first birthday we are also offering a special discount of 25% on all standard Golgo Island packs. This discount is only available until the end of December 2008.

News for October 2008!
October is nearly done and it is time for a little celebration. We started Syr Hobbs Wargames in October of 2005 and we would like to thank everyone for your years of support and patience with our shop! To start with, we have lowered the price on all Elhiem, Oupost Wargame Services 28mm Highway Men, The Square Modern Signage and ERM figure packs including the new Golgo Island Pulp codes.
After taken a look at what we had done, we decide that we really need to drop our prices some more for the manufacturers we just listed.
Other news, over the course of the last two weeks we have received stock from Elhiem, Lamercraft, Milicast, Platoon 20, ERM 15mm, Outpost Wargame Services including their 28mm Highway Men and the new Golgo Island releases.
Finally, we had to make a difficult decision regarding Shellhole Scenics and Friend or Foe Figures. At this point we will no longer be stocking these kits. We are working on updating our shopping cart with inventory remaining, until then please fell free to email us your request before ordering to check on availability. News for September 2008!
I hope to post another update later this month, but wanted to let folks know that Laura and I are currently getting ready for Recruits, September 12-14, 2008. A show that my wife and I put on in the Kansas City area. This is a great little show that focuses on recruiting new blood into the hobby we all love! So if we are a bit slow at responding, it is not that we don't care but we do promise to do our best and respond to your emails and orders as soon as possible.
Other news, we have an Elhiem and Wargame Outpost Services restock order on its way in a couple of weeks as well as a Milicast restock order. However, we are still working on our Liberation stock but have no fear we still have plenty of stock left! Thanks All Duane and Laura

We are back from a very fun and successful Historicon. It was fun seeing all of our friends and we can't wait until next year! We have been working on getting restock orders in from all of our manufacturers but our stock levels still look pretty good. But please feel free to drop us a note if you have any questions.

We hope everyone had a great Spring and we look forward in seeing everyone again at Historicon the end of July. Laura and I will be there again although we are not sure where our booth will be or how much space will get. We just hope we get more tables than last year. LOL At this point we are taking pre-orders for Historicon and will offer a 5% discount when you pick your orders up. First we wanted to welcome those of you coming here for the first time and it was a pleasure meeting all of you at the shows we attended at the beginning of the month. Just a quick note about Sales of Liberation figures. Well, how do I say this, but sales for Liberation figures have been going very, very well and our stock levels are looking pretty low especially after Recruits and Little Wars a few weeks ago. A restock order is in the works but may take a week or two to get them. Now this doesn't mean we don't have some Liberation figures available but please feel free to email us if you want to check if something is available. We are working as quickly as we can to get to all of your orders but please don't feel you are pestering us if you would like to check on the status of your order.
News for March 2008!
Now that March is underway, we are looking forward to the up-coming show season. We are sorry we missed Cold Wars but a family obligation kept us from attending this year. On the bright side we will be attending Recruits, March 28-30 and Little Wars, April 4-6. If there is a show you would like for us to attend drop us a note.
We came a cross some new in box (NIB) WWII Dragon pre-built tanks, some are out of production.
We have been trying to make it easier for you to navigate our shopping cart with the addition of scale categories. This project is still in the works but one we hope will be beneficial for you. But on another note, we will be changing to a new software program for our shopping cart. Sometime after Little Wars our web page will be down as we rebuild the entire beast from scratch. News for November 2007!
Hi Everyone,
We received a Shellhole Scenic restock earlier this week and we are nearly done pulling and sending out customer requests. We will be updating our shopping cart fairly soon. Shellhole produces wonderful resin buildings and they seem to move fairly quickly. All of these buildings have been made using a lighter weight resin and they look great.
We also added from Friend or Foe all of their Russian Cavalry and the German Airborne to go with the rest of the lines we carry. We plan to continue to expand the Friend or Foe figure lines with each order. We really like their German Fallschirmjagers figures a brand new release of four Fallschirmjagers, 3 with panzerfausts and 1 placing an anti-tank mine looks very good.
We are working hard at filling everyone's request for Liberation figures. There are so many codes to choose from that we are more then happy to add your request from the main Liberation web page at www.RHModels.com . Also we have received stock from both Elhiem and Platoon 20 with more to be ordered before the end of the year.
Finally we restocked the Milicast kits and resin figures that we were carrying and have just ordered a few more Milicast codes to add with them.
Finally we would like to thank everyone for all your support these first two years. Our business has been doing very well but with this comes much more work then we can admitly handle at times. But what we will always try to put the customer first.
We have also been working on remoldeling a new office that has taken a lot of our time that could otherwise been used for web page improvements. But we hope this new office will make my life easier for us in the future.
So we have lots of items not on our web page and many items listed as out of stock that are actually available. There are always more pictures that need to be added and updates to be posted.

We are very pleased to announce that we now stock Outpost Wargame Services' excellent 15mm and 28mm miniatures. For Historicon, we will have a limited number of their 28mm figures, including their Aztecs and the newly remolded 28mm Highwaymen.
We will also have the following Outpost Ancient, Medieval and Reniassance 15mm ranges: Khmer, Pre-Samurai Japanese, Later T'ang, Burmese, Central Asiatic Turks, Crusade Period Islamic, Romano British, and Saxons. Additionally, we will be bringing limitied supplies of these ready to go armies: Macedonians (DBA/DBM starter army), Republican Roman (DBA/DBM starter army, Late Roman (DBA/DBM starter army), and Ching/Manchu Dynasty (DBA/DBM starter army)
Also in 15mm are East Riding Miniatures' Ancient, Medival and Fantasy lines, and a limited number of Grumpy's 15mm Ancient codes.
In addition, from East Riding Miniatures we will have all the Platoon 20, 20mm WWII, Vietnam and Modern 20mm figure packs, most remastered and remolded, as well as the newest releases for the Falkland Wars in 20mm. Finally, from East Riding Miniatures we will have the 28mm Nazi Zombies, Corporate World figures, and the modern Bloods and Crips line of gang members.

My loving wife as well as a few other friends brought it to my attention that, well, that I've been a slacker. So after several months of reporting nothing new, how about a quick list of new items and future releases.
First we are sad to report that we will no longer carry CP Models/TQD Castings. TQD/CP Models have decided to sell their entire line of quality figures as Ready Painted. It has truly been a pleasure working with Stuart. He has always been very supportive and a good friend. If interested, our shopping cart is current/updated with quantities available for these fine figures. So get them while you can, while supplies last.
Now for some good news. We are very pleased to be invited to attend Historicon for the first time late July. We are now taking pre-orders of our entire catalog for delivery at Historicon until July 9th, 2007. All pre-orders will receive a 5% discount at Historicon when you pick up your request. Feel free to use our shopping cart and when finished, just copy and paste your list into an email to us and we'll quote you a price and get it ready delivery!
Late Spring we added Shellhole Scenic Fine quality Resin buildings and Friend or Foe miniatures and vehicles. We will be carrying the entire line and have just recently placed a restock order.
